DOT physicals don't need to be stressful. With a few minutes of prep, most drivers are in and out quickly. Here's the short list of what to bring and what to expect at your visit.

What to bring

A little prep saves a lot of time.

  • Photo ID and current driver's license
  • Glasses, contacts, or hearing aids you normally use
  • A list of current medications, including dosages
  • Names of any specialists you see for ongoing conditions
  • Recent records for conditions like sleep apnea, diabetes, or heart issues — if applicable

What's checked

The exam covers vision, hearing, blood pressure, urine screen, and a general health review. We talk through any conditions you manage and how you manage them.

After the exam

Most drivers leave with their certificate the same day. If something needs a follow-up, we explain clearly what's needed and how to wrap it up quickly.
